   Gynecology

spacer While many of the unique health care needs for women are common throughout life, there are medical issues specific to each age group. Balanced Care for Women understands these particular needs, and we are able to expertly and professionally address any concerns you may have.

New Patients: We welcome young ladies as early as age 13 to discuss and address any gynecological concerns. At the initial visit, we will discuss reasons for different tests and exams and determine which are appropriate for each patient. We understand the anxiety associated with a first visit and will try to make you feel more comfortable. When you call to set up your first appointment, let us know which doctor you wish to see, and we'll mail to you a letter of confirmation with instructions for how to get started, and a brochure about our practice.

Returning Patients: An annual exam, which includes an evaluation of the thyroid, skin, heart, lungs, breast, abdomen, and pelvis, supplements your primary care physician's regular check ups. If you are experiencing symptoms which might require more immediate attention, our Nurse Practitioners can establish care and evaluation if the need is urgent.

Well Woman Visit: Regular medical check-ups provide doctors with vital information to help you maintain a healthy life. A bone density test is recommended for women over age 50 and is conducted as part of your well woman care. Please remember to mention this when setting your appointment. As women caring for women, we grasp the need for efficient professional attention during regular check ups and schedule our appointments accordingly.

Accreditations: Our physicians are Board-certified Fellows of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Balanced Care for Women has earned accreditations including American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), and others.

Surgery: We provide information to help you prepare for your surgical procedure, as well as what you must do to recover quickly and completely. Select your doctor's name to view and download their specific surgery instructions.
